The Fanatec QR2 Base‑Side (Type‑C) is the official QR2 upgrade for CSL DD and Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel bases, replacing the original QR1 base‑side with a motorsport‑grade, all‑aluminium quick release. Its new QR2 mechanical design delivers a much more rigid, play‑free connection to your steering wheel, improving steering precision and feedback clarity, especially on higher‑torque settings.

Finished with a low‑friction anodised surface, the Type‑C adapter allows you to hot‑swap QR2‑equipped wheels quickly and securely without rebooting your sim or base. It connects to QR2 Wheel‑Side, QR2 Pro Wheel‑Side and QR2 Lite Wheel‑Side hubs, giving existing CSL DD and GT DD Pro owners an easy, future‑proof way to join the QR2 ecosystem without changing their wheel base.
